FLOATING BUILDINGS

Polymer Engineering has been building boat lifts for many years but have started building floating structures such as offices, club houses and now homes. We are also developing floating walkways for marinas. Our material is perfect for the marine environment and has the added advantage of not attracting invasive species.

FAQ

1. Why use a polymer hull?

Becuase it is easier to manufacture, transport and deliver. The combination of a Plaztuff hull and concrete floor allows the space below the waterline to be usable and habitable.

3. How long do polymer pontoons last?

PE 500 and other long lasting plastics have been in use by the oil and gas industry for over 35 years so the life time is 30 year plus.

2. How does PEL know Polymer does not attract invasive species?

Because of the 2 buildings PEL built and becuase of the research PEL has done with Electroclear and Callaghan Innovations.
